Data and Process Modeling

Program Overview

Learn to use data modeling techniques to analyze and improve business processes

The process of organizing all components of the requirements into meaningful documentation is the last major linear task undertaken by a Business Analyst on a large-scale project. We will make use of the discovery, analysis, modeling, and presentation undertaken to characterize a large-scale IT project. Topics include data modeling; entities, relationships, and attributes; text and graphical representation of data models; cardinality and optionality relationships; class / object models; data dictionary; state diagrams; business rules; best practices; requirements specification; validation; testing; policies and procedures. Create a useful data dictionary. Draw and decipher state diagrams.
