Project Control and Closure

Learn the steps for successfully controlling and closing a project

Project control is the element of a project that keeps it on-track, on-time, and within budget. Project control begins early in the project with planning and ends late in the project with post-implementation review, having a thorough involvement of each step in the process.

Once a project has been completed, the manager's duties turn from control to closing. During closing, stakeholders must be notified, the project needs to be formally accepted, resources released, file archived, evaluations completed, and reports generated.

This course describes strategies for project managers to control a project successfully and refreshes the sustainable approach developed during project controlling. It also provides an overview of closing, an often-overlooked component of a project's lifecycle.
