| Increasing Power and Influence through Listening |
| Program Overview Build solid, trusting relationships that get work done better and faster Most of us need to influence at least one person through the course of a day, just to do our job. One commonly overlooked power and influence strategy is the simple act of listening. Improving listening skills creates trust, builds relationships and teamwork, opens communication channels, facilitates learning, reduces conflict and stimulates creativity and innovation. Then why don't we do it more often? As it turns out, the "simple" act of listening is not so simple. Following this course, you will be able to: - Develop and hone listening skills to increase effectiveness
- Change four common habits that block effective listening
- Increase five different types of power by listening
- Use listening strategies tailored to your style
- Listen for what is not being said
