    Erosion/Construction Installer
    This one-day course is designed for those who install erosion and sediment control devices and establish vegetation on construction sites. The emphasis is on permit regulations pertaining to laborer activities and proper installation and quality control of various erosion and sediment control devices and turf establishment items. Other topics include an overview of pertinent inspection procedures. This course is taught entirely in the classroom. This class is also appropriate for those inspecting construction sites for assurance of installation quality. (6 PDH)

    Who should attend:

    • Owners' representative personnel inspecting seeding, mulching, silt fence placement, topsoil placement, erosion control blanket installation, riprap placement, silt curtain, inlet protection, culvert installations in water bodies and embankment construction near rivers, lakes, and streams.
    • Crew supervisor of turf establishment/seeding contractor, and other construction personnel installing temporary erosion and sediment control devices. Note: Mn/DOT Standard Specifications require a minimum of one certified individual per project.
