    Writing Persuasive Business Proposals
    Program Overview

Write successful business proposals that produce results

Do you find yourself wondering why your proposals aren't accepted or why the "higher ups" don't respond to your recommendations? You can increase your success and effectiveness by learning how to write compelling proposals that meet the needs of the sponsors and stakeholders who will use them. Your messages and goals will be strengthened as you learn how to plan complementary writing processes, integrate useful visuals, and edit your writing for persuasiveness, clarity, and conciseness. You'll have an opportunity to evaluate proposals you have written and to work on current writing projects. Participants are encouraged to bring projects to class.

Following this course you will be able to:

    • Understand the results you want to obtain and "begin with the end in mind"
    • Plan and write persuasive proposals that address your audience and their motivations
    • Integrate visuals and other evidence to support your key points
    • Use a systematic approach to review, revise, and edit proposals
    • Apply project management techniques when developing proposals and reports
