    Exercising Organizational Influence
    Program Overview

Use personal power to achieve results

Results-oriented managers and professionals use formal, informal, and indirect authority to achieve organizational clout. The ability to influence others effectively is one of the most important, yet overlooked, skills in the workplace.

This course is designed to help participants garner support from the people with whom they work. Using the Climate Impact Profile (co-developed by the instructor) you will identify your own influence approach and better understand the influence styles of others. Then, armed with this information, you will be able to develop practical strategies and approaches for maximizing your influence in your organization.

Following this course you will be able to:

    • Identify six major impact/influence modes and ways to use them
    • Analyze situations which require influence
    • Build productive alliances and partnerships
    • Gain acceptance and buy-in from others
    • Influence laterally (colleagues), upwards (bosses), and downwards (employees)
